چکیده
Abstract To investigate whether serum‐soluble PD‐L1 (sPD‐L1) is a potential biomarker for identifying sepsis. This study enrolled 64 septic patients, 29 patients with acute appendicitis, 33 pancreatitis and 30 healthy volunteers. Sepsis was defined according to the 3.0 criteria.[1] The associated clinical parameters were recorded, blood samples collected on first day of diagnosis, serum sPD‐L1 levels measured using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assays. Compared control group, significant increase in observed sepsis (n = 64). Increased expression correlated strongly increased inflammatory values (CRP, PCT WBC) decreased immunological functional (CD3 + , CD4 CD8 cell counts). area under ROC curve (AUC) combination sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score superior AUC either or SOFA regard diagnosis may represent valuable

Serum miR-21 may be a Potential Diagnostic Biomarker for Diabetic Nephropathy.
MiRNAs play important roles in initiation and progress of many pathologic processes. MiR-21 was closely associated with diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, whether serum miR-21 was as a potential diagnostic biomarker for DN and the relationship between serum miR-21 and tissue miR-21 remained unclear. In this study, real-time RT-PCR, cell transfection, luciferase reporter gene assays, western bl...
متن کاملαvβ6 integrin may be a potential prognostic biomarker in interstitial lung disease.
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and fibrotic nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis are progressive interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) with limited treatment options and poor survival. However, the rate of disease progression is variable, implying there may be different endotypes of disease. We hypothesised that immunophenotyping biopsies from ILD patients might reveal distinct endotypes of pr...
متن کاملExpression of Survivin in the Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-embedded Specimens of Human Osteosarcoma May Be Used as a Diagnostic Marker
Osteosarcoma is the most frequent malignant bone tumor with a peak incidence in the second and third decades of life. Diagnosis of patients with osteosarcoma is limited to clinico-pathological parameters whereas molecular markers of tumor initiation and promotion have not yet been identified. We aimed to study the expression of the anti-apoptotic survivin gene in osteosarcoma specimens. A total...
متن کاملHeparin-binding protein: a potential biomarker in sepsis?
[Q1]To the Editor—We read with great interest the study conducted by Linder et al [1] that presented heparin-binding protein as an early marker of circulatory failure in sepsis[Q2]. Linder and colleagues reported impressive sensitivity and specificity for this novel marker in predicting severe sepsis, with or without septic shock. Some major issues should be brought up more clearly to the reade...
